Imagine if every time you decided to get married or divorced you needed more than 50% of your country to approve it. If they held huge debates where people said stuff like "Well, I know he cheated on her but let's be realistic, she didn't have sex with him for eight months, people have needs," for divorce or "I don't know, they are kind of young, she is really responsible but he's kind of spoiled, I don't think it's gonna work in the longrun," for marriage. Y'know, all the stuff your 'friends' only say behind your back :P
