Hm,

show of hands. How many of you think RodneyMcKay of SGA could have skipped a few classes between elementary and high school?
I see no canon proof that he had, just the mention of the atom bomb he built in sixth grade, after which the CIA approached him. BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? :D

It's possible, I suppose. He almost had to have been on some sort of accelerated program, yeah?

I would think so. Maybe Canada doesn't do that?
This is just so much research for something I'm not even sure I want to write *sigh*
But he's my only character left who isn't being accelerated so I'm just wondering, fictionally, if I'd be justified to do it.

I think it would be totally plausible, even in Canada. I'm sure there are a multitude of teachers he'd dealt with that were eager enough to shift him into "more accelerated work" to be rid of him.

Oddly he's one of those characters I can see going either way in school; either being the super bright kid and getting "pushed hard" by himself and/or his parents to excel. Or on the whole other hand being a total fuck-off because he's so bored with everything he doesn't bother to do homework and just shows up enough to pass exams and squeak by with a C.

Awesome! :) Then it all fits, yay! *works on*

True, my opinion of Sherlock is that he did exactly that.
