What kind of place/discussion are you looking for? Tumblr is mostly a disaster, of course, but you can sort of curate things depending on what you want.
Well, I'm in a new fandom now (podsa) but they are RL people and tumblrites don't want them to find themselves so they censor tags... which means I can't find them either. I have to follow 300 people if I want to get any kind of timely news. So I just really enjoy communities/groups, but I checked here and that fandom has 1 group and 0 comments on the last 10 posts, because fandom just isn't here any more. :( i want communitiess
