Having fun with the new icons.

Don't engage. That's my attitude. It just makes this kind of thing worse. I'm really sad about the whole situation.

Eh, I kinda engaged, though not directly. But reading some things really angered me :/

I wish everyone could just get along, and I feel this is just going to leave a bad taste in everyone mouth about BBB. This is too bad on everyone who's done an excellent job. I think several people have become very touchy and acted immaturely.

I don't know, I've seen this happen before and most of us will move on. Fandoms are getting very... loud, I think. I kind of like it, even if it makes me thread carefully :)
And I think debates like these are healthy. Not for the writer obv but for everyone else. :)

Fandoms flare up... HP fandom was known for being extremely wanky at times. This is nothing new. I think it's quite tricky to the right nuance to what you are posting, and thus it's easy to offend without really trying.

On a different topic, I'm a bit shaken up. Since I last posted, I took my daughter to meet friends at the beach and I let her drive. Was fine till we got within blocks, and the traffic became narrow and busy. My car's suspension and wheels are talking a hard hit. At least driving over the curb was better than hitting a car. Letting my daughter practice her driving is one of the scariest things I've ever done.

*nod* "handle with care, this is not a toy" :)

Oh, ouch, I'm sorry :( Traffic can be scary and distracting. I hate it :(

I was really ready to give her the benefit of doubt until she made that remark. On the other hand, I think we're on the verge of the snowballing effect.

And she's seriously not shutting up. I hope she calms down soon because no one will stop unless she does.

I saw. My knee-jerk reaction is 'well, for being someone who doesn't care anymore, you're talking way too much'. Which is another way to say that I seriously doubt it.
