It Gets Better

I'm so bad at writing about these things so I will mostly let others speak for me.

" If you're gay or lesbian or bi or trans and you've ever read about a kid like Billy Lucas and thought, "Fuck, I wish I could've told him that it gets better," this is your chance." Dan Savage and his husband came up with a project to try and give some hope to all the LGBTQ high school kids being bullied for who they are. The project is called "It Gets Better Project" and the point is for LGBTQ grownups to do via internet what they never can in real life. Talk to the kids and tell them their lives will get better, high school will end. 

Here is a video Dan and Terry made, and if you can contribute with a video of your own, that would be awesome. If not, you can do what I did and spread the word. I think if a project like this doesn't get to live, then the internet has failed at its existence.

I did cry at some of it (pmsss) especially the part where Terry talks about his high school and Dan looks at him like he wants to give him a hug. They are pretty amazing for doing this and I grin every time I see a post about this in tumblr or anywhere.
