Why are you only in the “What a Catch” music video for like two seconds?
There are two reasons. First and foremost, when I was writing the lyrics for the song, it was written from Patrick’s perspective… So it felt right for him to be the star of the video. Secondly, I feel like one of the things that really hinders Fall Out Boy is me. Sometimes the name Pete Wentz puts a black cloud over things, so I wanted to minimize my role in it.

I keep meaning to look up what this song is really supposed to be about. This just makes it more awesome until I do. (I know, I know, it's what it means to me, art speaks for itself bla bla, I'm curious and want to know :) )

And Pete, no dude. *gives cookies* I know there are fans who always have something to say about him but mostly it's just:
Dick: Hes a asshole!
Me: Why?
Dick: Your a asshole!
Me: Leave my asshole alone, pls, you remind me of a boyfriend I used to have with your anal obsession.
Dick: I'm not gay, I don't know why you would think I'm gay. I have friends who are gay and I'm ok with that but I'm not gay so don't say I am you fag.
Me: *listens to Patrick S. acoustics and watches the rain*

What I'm saying is, until I see some proof to the contrary I'm gonna say it's idiot fans who hinder the band, not an overly exuberant bassist.

I've never been a hard core FOB fan, let alone a PWentz fan, but with the dream I had last week, I've started to look at him under a different light. I was never of the haters side, though. He was just pete wentz.

Now, he is Pete Wentz. And I don't like him to feel like he gives FOB a bad name.

I'm not a fan of their music, much, but I do ever so love Patrick's voice and ok his beautiful face too :) I don't find Pete particularly attractive either so I'm hardly into gushing over him, but it just seems the man has done good things with his life - a job he likes and is successful at, friends who care about him, building a family and actually working on raising his kid, not just letting the magical raising-fairies handle it, plus the charity he does which is something he seems to genuinely care about.
And if he has some childish oh-so-typically guy-fun and tells off a few 'journalists' for being mindless drones and takes photos of his dick... these things really don't make him a bad person in any way.
khm... /rant :D

Yeah, like, we all do stupid things. People shouldn't pick on him for being one of us :D

Found on hopelessly hopeful, supJustin interview (http://hopelessly-hopeful.infinitealchemy.com/?p=1475)
There's a new video (http://hopelessly-hopeful.infinitealchemy.com/?p=1472) too in which Patrick is being adorable.

Ah, cool, I was wondering cause it worked for me :) But for some things there you have to be a member so I wasn't sure. ... I still don't get why they don't have any comments on posts.

Aaaah, thanks, I had no idea about the gip :D Ok :D

exactly.

and not just fans, people who need to stick their noses and judge about stuff that isn't any of their bussiness in general. sometimes i really wish the internet didn't exist at all. it's a wonderful thing, because it allows bands to be way closer to their fans than any time before, but it also gives 'the fans' way too much power over said bands and they feel like they're allowed to use it just because they can. (did that make sense?)

It did. It's my biggest problem in every fandom, that so many fans start to act like they are friends with the artists, and have the right to criticize them or feel personally afflicted when something unwanted happens. If I'm overinvested, that's my problem. There's no reason at all they should know anything but that I love their music.
And, for some reason, suddenly being positive about things is lame. You have to hate something if you want to be cool.
