maskitheclown I feel responsible. Karmically, y'know. Since the time I joined bandom, around this time last year, some... 3 or 4 bands broke up. Even MCR wanted to but somehow, magically, fought it.

I'd love to say "on, in a year, I'll be done with uni and have a translating job." But I just don't know. I might fail, I might get bored, I might get hit by a car. But with him it's even worse because everything he says will be carved into the Book of Fandom and if it turns out he was wrong, OMG LIAR HE PLAYED US waank... (Example now with Patrick doing a solo album and all sorts of interviews being dragged out where he said he didn't want to do a solo album.)
But yeah, I'm just happy he has a family and people who love him so he can go away and ignore the insanity if he choses to :)

Date: 2010-02-02 07:46 pm (UTC)But I read a secret on patd secrets after the breakup by someone who felt the same way and I have to say, it's creepy when everything starts falling apart just as I walk in. And if MCR broke up too I'd have just taken a slow step back from bandom.
It's like when I watch a football game and my team is losing, and I go take a phonecall or to the loo, and I come back, they are back in the lead, just to start losing again when I start watching.
Realistically, I know I have nothing to do with it, but MAN it sucks :)

Date: 2010-02-02 08:20 pm (UTC)nah, i can't. i've repeated my first year twice and only got a chance to do it the third time because of the school reform so i'm all out of chances. i'm in my second year and doing okay so far, hoping it'll stay that way :P.
i wish our school systems were more like the american one where you don't have a definite goal at the beginning and you can switch majors in between if you change your mind/ don't really have to choose until your 3rd year or so.

And then, when they start complaining about how much they have to study I just ignore them because they have some 4-6 classes each year. I (and probably you too) have 12-14.
