two things that just popped into my head while i was talking to maureen: 1.i don't think he can fault bren and spence for keping the name and the music because that's their job, what they make money off. he can say whatever he wants, but if the roles were reversed, he'd have done the same thing. i also think this is why it's taking spencer and brendon so long to bring out their stuff, they wanna make it their own and for it to be good, so that people can't keep saying they're still using ryan and jon's stuff 2. i don't get how jon could be hurt that bren and spencer are still playing their music. since, you know, they had a tour they were obligated to do and they didn't exactly have time to write new stuff. and they havent played any shows in ages.
and then maureen pointed out how ryan and jon obviously didn't know about those shows and i said that that was the labels fault. i think if there are any hard feelings, it's also label related. because they were all obvs thinking about how to prevent a complete disaster and loose money, so they weren't exactly sensitive to jon and ryan's wishes/situation/w/e.

This is all true. And if it took Ryan that much to get out of the contract, it couldn't have been a surprise that Brendon and Spencer stayed and kept the name.
Yeah, Ryan and Jon didn't know about that shows but all that means is that the breakup happened way before it came out, so again, they broke up before the shows were arranged.
*sigh* can we just go back in time when the breakup didn't happen? :(
