I read these two reviews on young_veins. They were positive. They made me happy about Ryan and Jon. That's JON, no H. One of the reviewers didn't seem to be able to grasp that. 
But then they said those two lines up there and I just. Yeah, there was this tiny sec of pride for Ryan because I<3URyRo!1!!eleventy!! 
BUT CAN'T WE LOVE THEM ALL?? 
Can't Ryan AND Brendon have talent? Can't Spencer be a good drummer and Jon a good bassist and can't they make awesome music together but also apart? Seriously, no one wants them to realize their lives are meaningless without each other and get back together, as much as I do. But lines are being crossed. 

In other news, Happy Easter and all that Jazz :)

Yeah I don't really like how that line makes it sound like Brendon has no talent.
I'm also annoyed by TYV always being referred to as Ryan Ross' band. He's not the only one in the band :/

Me neither. I know for a fact he makes good music and has a great voice, the only thing that's left are lyrics and I really enjoyed Folkin' Around.
And lol, that too, I can get it when I do it because I am a RyanRoss fangirl of the worst variety, but journalists should really know better :)

I read those reviews, too, and thought those two lines were sort of mean, too. But, did you read the comments at the bottom (http://www.rocknycliveandrecorded.com/2010/04/young-veins-at-webster-theatre-in.html)?

I know Panic can pull off "New Perspective" live, but I agree that we're more than ready for a tour. And an album. Meanwhile, I was actually pleased that they liked TYV so much!

I'm definitely all aflutter when I hear nice things said about them. Even if they all start with "I was sure they would suck but they proved me wrong" :D

I prefer New Perspective live, just like Change, and I think we're more than ready for a new album but as slashx says down there, I'm kinda glad they aren't competing at the moment. Might be good to have some time apart between their albums.

i have enjoyed the footage of jon and ryan so much and feel really relieved to see that they are doing well. the music works live. it's awesome. and also, it was ryan and jon that did most of the onstage banter for panic, so you know they can do that.

but yeah. i hate that stupid 'only x can have The Talent' bullshit. like it's this single commodity that can't be divided. hmph hmph HMPH!

The music is great live, and I just heard it through videos :) And Ryan and Jon work really well together. (needs more fic now)

Panic is going to have to get a post-Ryan album out before that kind of thing goes away tho, sad to say. But then look at it this way, alot of people wrote Ryan and Jon and TYV off as a big stoner indulgence until they started leaking the music and then touring- and now everybody is all \o/ we knew they were awesome- la la la :D

Brendon and Spencer will have their moment, but I'm kind of glad they are not directly competing. I know it's just the romantic sap in me, but I like to think that they're taking their time on purpose just for that reason.

This is absolutely true, the fanwank would be incredible if they got their albums out at the same time.

Ha, yeah, I like to think Ryan and Jon are calling this "take a vacation" because they plan to go back to Panic. (But I feel that undermines their efforts in a way, like I'm calling what they are doing now some kind of playful rest from their real work, and I don't want to sound like that, so I don't say it often)
