 I find it fucking fascinating that it's people who shit on Ryan the most, that use "RyRo" when talking about him. Like they're best fucking buddies who herded sheep together or whatthefuckever. This is what happens when you imagine you're best friends with someone and then they "disappoint" you even though they never had anything to do with you in the first place. Therapy. You need it. 

P.S. this really has nothing to do with not liking the song. Tastes differ. Assholes are all the same.

New Perspective! (With the internet I have right now, I just spent over a buck downloading it illegaly. I consider my fannish duty done. Sorry Brendon and Spencer :/ I'll do better with the album, I promise.)
I should make this into a plus and minus list :D Let's see:
I like the music in the chorus but as a whole it's too pop (?) for me. Mostly the "uuuuu" part is something I try to avoid in music. And the second guitar is just ... bugging me. Unecessary noise? 
I absolutely love the piano maddness in the background that happens around 2:33. It's beautiful.
The drums are still my favorite drums in any recent band. Shocker there. :)) Spencer seems to really be in his element. Thrilled about that :) 
Brendon's voice is Brendon's voice. Do I even have to say anything there? :)
I have yet to take a moment and really listen to the lyrics. 

And Ryan and Jon have a name and single coming out!! It's like Christmas!! 

Also, if you've seen the new photo of Ryan and Alex G. you'll notice Ryan has apparently given up on fully buttoning his shirts. He does it all for me. It's ok to envy me. :o)

PS. I love the Zippo-light-drag opener too. Sting ruined me :D

ETA: OMFG PETE WENTZ RTed RYAN! *is way overinvested again yes shuttup* 

 The fact that none of these guys, now apparently lyricists included, know the difference between your/you're their/they're/there it's/its etc it really starting to bug me. I was ok with just one of them but now it's a flood of illiteracy that is really bothersome. Why is this so hard for 20+ yo people? 

 I'll be away till August 1st. I'm gonna have very limited and very expensive internet but I'll keep up in case Ryan and Jon decide on a name :)

So here's what I think! I know, how much do you care? :D

I read the interview. Shock, the band splitting wasn't Ryan's decision. However. It would seem a lot of it was started by Ryan and Brendon and concluded by Ryan and Spencer which whould kinda explain Jon's behaviour. He was probably on Team Denial too. 

Ryan's statement about Pete makes me think he was getting shitloads of hate-calls and "let me tell you why this is wrong" calls and he just gave up on answering it for a while. And then he's probably watching Pete talk to Brendon and Spencer and thinks "omg he'll hate me!" and so he does nothing. Oh hi ME, fancy seeing you in a 22yo guy. I could be wrong but since that's what I'd do it's where my mind goes. 

Also, and I SO mean no disrespect, Keltie's Address to the nation was emotional and based on internet gossip as much as any of ours. Except for how she actually is/was emotionally invested :) (Detail, detail :) ) And the fact that people actually contacted her to OMG SAVE her ex boyfriend. WTF people? Seriously WTFF? Her post honestly had me so bummed out and then I checked his twitter and saw that he still has plenty of friends talking to him (not as in, has them on the list, but really talking) so it's not all as she makes it look.

c) I didn't like those, I don't like this much either, but if it's the same progress, chances are I WILL like it when it's a done product :) 
d) I liked the lyrics on Folkin' Around. I hope he doesn't simplify himself just to sound more pop. 
e) I love what 1842  said on PATD: "the songs brendon wrote for pretty odd weren't even set to be on the record. they were his own songs, and he didn't write them to please ryan or get them on the album. if that's the kind of thing he wrote a year and a half ago, and this is the kind of thing he writes now, i think we can all agree that a split because of "creative differences" was NOT predominantly ryan and/or jon's decision."
I agree with this so fucking much and could add some "leave Ryan alone" whining but seriously think it's better without it :))
